J&K: Indian Army in Keran rescues one civilian in snow slide

According to Public Relations Officer (PRO) Defence Srinagar, a call was received by the Army Unit in Keran from Trehgam Kupwara regarding trapping of one civilian Adil Karim Lone in the snowslide last evening.

In Jammu and Kashmir, Indian Army has been relentlessly reaching-out to the people and rendering assistance to them if needed at the time of any difficulty.

According to Public Relations Officer (PRO) Defence Srinagar, a call was received by the Army Unit in Keran from Trehgam Kupwara regarding trapping of one civilian Adil Karim Lone in the snowslide last evening.

The Army Unit immediately swung into action & rescue team with equipments was dispatched to the spot. After moving approximately 1.5 Kms in heavy snow, the team found the individual trapped under snow alongwith his vehicle.

The individual was finally pulled out & evacuated to Army Medical Facility wherein he was administered immediate life-saving & stabilizing treatment.

The Defence Spokesperson said that the timely action by Army & Civil authorities & the trust reposed by civilians bore fruit as the individual could be rescued & a tragedy was averted. Meanwhile, the local population have expressed their gratitude to the Army for rescuing the civilian safely.
