Jodhpur airport put on partial lockdown, for this reason

plane was on a Mumbai-Jodhpur service

In a major development, the Jodhpur airport was put on partial lockdown.

The decision followed a bomb scare on an Air India Mumbai-Jodhpur flight.

It is said that the lockdown was imposed after authorities at the airport received a threat of a bomb being present on the Air India Flight 645.

The plane was on a Mumbai-Jodhpur service.

With the alert, the security personnel from Central Industrial Security Force boarded the plane to conduct search operations.

It need be mentioned that CISF has been tasked with civil aviation security in India.

It is said that the flight operations were temporarily suspended and a siege was laid around the airport with dog squads.

The police teams and CISF personnel launched a massive search operation.

Some of passengers on board the Air India Mumbai-Jodhpur flight were detained for questioning.
