Kabul rocked by multiple blasts; 40 feared killed, many wounded
In yet another dastardly attack in Afghan capital Kabul, almost 40 people are feared killed and many others were wounded in multiple blasts near a media outlet and mosque.
Kabul, it may be known, has repeatedly come under attack in terror episodes.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack which comes days after a suicide bomber killed six civilians in an assault near an Afghan intelligence agency compound in the city.
International media reporters near the scene of the blast heard a third explosion, suggesting that multiple blasts may be happening at frequent intervals.
A hospital official told local media sources that as high as 18 wounded had been brought to his facility.
While no group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack, the Islamic State may be behind this terror episode. >
