Karnataka govt to give Rs. 10 lakh to Neeraj Chopra’s coach Kashinath Naik

Olympic Gold medallist Neeraj Chopra’s coach from Karnataka, Kashinath Naik will be given prize money of 10 lakh rupees by the Karnataka state Government.

Olympic Gold medallist Neeraj Chopra’s coach from Karnataka, Kashinath Naik will be given prize money of 10 lakh rupees by the Karnataka state Government.

This was announced by the state Sports minister Dr. Narayanagowda in Bengaluru today.

The minister said that Kashinath Naik from Sirsi town in Karnataka had won a bronze medal in Javelin during the 2010 Commonwealth Games.

Kashinath had given training to Neeraj Chopra. The minister also informed that seven medal winners in the Tokyo Olympics will be felicitated by the state Government. During this felicitation function Coach Kashinath will also be felicitated.

He added that three athletes from the state, who took part in the Tokyo Olympics namely Ashok, Shrihari Natraj and Fauwad Mirza will also be felicitated for their best performances in the Olympic games.
