Amid grim news from the Kashmir valley, a 30-yr-old woman Iram Habib has become first Muslim woman to become a pilot from the valley.
The woman is a resident of downtown Srinagar and is now likely to join a private airline in September.
It is said that it took her quite a long time to convince her parents to allow her to pursue a career in flying.
The report cited that she comes from a conservative Muslim family and convincing her parents was a tough task.
It is also being said that presently over 50 Kashmiri women are undergoing pilot training to join various domestic as well as international airlines.>
