Kerala police now claims more women may have visited Sabarimala shrine

Kerala police now claims that more women have actually visited the Sabarimala shrine than reported in the media outlets.

The thing is that these women were all below the age of 50 yrs and categorized as in menstrual age.

Some of the estimates put the number as high as ten.

It is also now being claimed that since new year, at least three Malaysian women of Tamil origin apart from Bindu Ammini and Kanakadurga have been successful in praying at the hill-top temple.

According to sources in police, the Malaysian group visited the temple early morning on January 1 and returned to Pamba by around 10 am.

Devaswom minister Kadakampally Surendran acknowledged that more women might have visited Sabarimala.
