Knowledge of Tantra Shastra is must for Social Development, says Governor

Dharm-Dhamm Sammelan on Tantra and Shrividya concluded at Sanchi Vishwavidyalaya

Governor Smt. Anandiben Patel in the concluding programme of Dharm-Dhamm Sammelan held at Sanchi Boddha-Bhartiya Gyan Addhyan Vishwavidyalaya of Raisen district said today that Tantra Shastra and Shrividya is a spiritual way of devotion and knowledge.

People have little knowledge about it and there is a need to enhance their knowledge.

The Former Vice Chancellor of the university Acharya Yageshwar Shastri said that keeping in view the research, antrashstra is lagging behind.

This conference will help in encouraging research. The Chairman of Bhartiya Itihaas Anusandhan Parishad Prof. Arvind P Jamkhedkar said that he got a new vision to visualize by this conference based on tantra.

The Registrar of the university Shri Aditikumar Tripathi mentioned that tantra shastra is mentioned chiefly in Bhartiya, Boddh and Jain Literature. The Vice Chancellor of the University Shri Manoj Shrivastava was also present on this occasion.

Informing about the co-relation of Tantra and Vedant, Prof. Devashish Bannerjee, who came from America threw light on processes and objectives in two general sessions before the concluding session.

Prof. Jayendra Soni of Austria while mentioning about Shaiv Siddhant and Shaktinipad in Shivgyanboddh said that we cannot think about Shiva without Shakti. He said that knowledge is everlasting truth and guru is a replica of Shiva.

The Governor distributed fruits, books and medical first aid kits to students of adopted village Bilara at the concluding programme.

A total of 34 foreign scholars came from America. Canada, Germany, Austria, Finland, Belgium, Korea, Shri Lanka and Nepal besides 130 Indian Scholars took part in the 3 day International Conference. More than 100 research papers were presented during the 6 general sessions, 9 round table sessions and 3 academic sessions.
