Kovind’s elevation as head of the state brings us closer to realise ideals of Babasaheb Ambedkar and Deendayal Upadhyaya for social harmony- said Tarun Vijay while presenting him the portrait of Thiruvalluvar, the iconic poet philosopher from Tamil Nadu.
In fact Thiruvalluvar portrait was the first one of any great person that President elect Ram Nath Kovind received after he was declared elected.
Thirukural campaigner for the North ( Ambassador in Tamil) and a worker for social equality Tarun Vijay greeted newly elected President H.E. Ramnath Kovind and presented him a portrait of great Tamil saint Thiruvalluvar with a Tamil silken shawl and Ganga Jal from Uttarakhand.
An amazing record for any president of India , that a President elect, who hails from North India, gets portrait of a great Tamil saint, that too from a North Indian parliamentarian. Tarun Vijay said that Kovind ji is an embodiment of social harmony and Thirukural’s message of equality. He would be a source of inspiration for us all to work for a caste-mukt Bharat.
Tarun Vijay had been fighting for the dalit rights and was seriously injured in a stone pelting incident in Uttarakhand when he tried to take dalits to a temple in a high caste locality. He said that Kovind’s elevation to the highest constitutional position of the republic has strengthened fight for social equality and harmony bringing us closer to realise the ideals of Babasaheb Ambedkar and Deendayal Upadhyaya.
