FOOD is the prime requirement for our body but the food items or the way we eat is totally changed.
If we look at the present scenerio in 2011 the calorie intake was about ‘2458’ which is much higher than ‘2010’ in the year 1961.
INDIANS are consuming more calories then they use to consume 50 years ago.
So the question arises which factors lead to change in our food habits?

This distinction shows us the difference in habits which we adopted due to situations or circumstances.

Things that should be kept in mind for healthy living in today’s world includes-
Eating breakfast like a king;lunch like a prince;dinner like a pauper.
Plan before you start eating to stop when you are 80% done.
Fasting can be good sometimes for small intervals.
Cooking at home is a good option.
One should respect and celebrate meals.
Switch to unprocessed food.
Water:a healthy living.
Consume variety of food in daily routine.
Amount of food should be balanced with respect to protein and fat in it.
Say yes to healthy grains.
Less sugar and salt to be included in food.
Sodium down,potassium up.
Food over supplements.limit the consumption of alcohol to live more.
