Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad today attacked opposition for boycotting President Ram Nath Kovind’s address to joint sitting of both the Houses of Parliament. Talking to reporters outside Parliament, Mr. Prasad termed the opposition’s move as unfortunate.
He said the President is the constitutional head and he is above political differences. He added that respecting the President in his address is a healthy practice of democracy. He wondered what kind of tradition Congress intends to establish by boycotting the address.
