She had been chosen by L’Oreal to appear for an advertising campaign but British model Amena Khan pulled out of the campaign over her old ‘anti-Israel’ tweets.
It need be mentioned that the French cosmetics giant last week selected her to be the first woman in a hijab for a mainstream shampoo campaign.
Khan’s messages had been posted on Twitter in 2014 but have since been deleted.
She said in her latest Twitter post that she deeply regrets the content of the tweets made in 2014 and also sincerely apologized for the hurt caused.
She also announced her decision to then step down from campaign.>
