Maharashtra’s energy minister Nitin Raut has announced a mega recruitment drive as Dhammachakra Pravartan gift for the state’s youth. After chairing a review meeting of the power sector in Mumbai, Dr. Raut asked MahaTransco to fill in over 8500 posts lying vacant for many years.
Even after the restructuring of Maharashtra state electricity board in 2005, no recruitment was done in MahaTransco and due to vacant posts the existing staff was overburdened. Considering the load on them Energy Minister Nitin Raut decided to start the recruitment drive in the company. ITI students will be benefited with this decision as there are 6750 vacant posts for ITI diploma holders.
Similarly due 1762 posts of engineers the engineering graduates will also have the opportunity of recruitment in the company. Energy Minister Dr. Raut has advised the state power transmission company to provide training to the existing workforce so that they remain up to date about upcoming technologies and keep on developing their skill set.
Due to the mega- recruitment thousands of job seekers will be able to fulfil their dreams and at the same time the existing workforce will be able to get the relief from the excessive workload and also to get the much awaited promotions in their jobs.
