Maharashtra: Naxalites killed former Deputy Magistrate in Gadchiroli District

The deceased was an active worker for education of tribal students. For the last 10 years he served as Deputy Magistrate of Burgi Gram panchayat. He was defeated in recent Gram Panchayat elections.

In Gadchiroli District of Maharashtra, Naxalites killed a former Deputy Magistrate last night. Former Deputy Magistrate Rama Talandi, 37, was busy in a marriage ceremony, when Naxalites entered in civil attire and fired on him. He died on the spot.
