The University of Pune recently announced that Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (SET) 2020 has been postponed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic which has surrounded our nation. The revised schedule of the examination will be released soon on the university’s official website, according to the official notification.
The examination, which is conducted for the recruitment of teachers in colleges and universities, was supposed to be conducted on June 28. The announcement of deferring the exam was made after the nationwide lockdown was further extended till June 30 in containment zones.
The notification further states that the next date of the examination will be decided after reviewing the situation of Covid-19 pandemic in the state. As soon as the new date is decided, it will be communicated to all the candidates through an official notice on the website of the university.
Maharashtra SET 2020 to be conducted in offline mode.
According to the University of Pune, the Maharashtra State Eligibility Test will be conducted in offline mode. The eligibility test will consist of two papers, where the first paper will be of one hour and the second paper will be of two hours. The first paper will consist of 50 questions and the second paper will consist of 100 questions.
As the nationwide lockdown has been extended yet again, many entrance exams stand postponed. University and college exams are mainly taking place through online portals during his period, which has received a lot of backlash from students and parents.
