The state government’s cabinet met today to deliberate on host of issues.
The meeting concluded with some major decisions including that exemption in appointments on compassionate grounds be continued.
The other major decision is that the eligible deputy engineers of the Water Resources Department be promoted to the post of assistant engineers.
The cabinet met ahead of the state election and decided that women working on contractual terms will also be eligible for 180 days maternity leave just as the government sector women employees get.
The maternity leave for women will not however be applicable for third child provided the earlier two children are alive.
The state government has also given a go ahead to constitution of board for the Nai community.
The state cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh decided on implementation of flat rate system for farmers under the Krishak Jeevan Jyoti Yojana without any conditions attached to pump capacity or even consumption.
As per the decision, upto 5 HP second pump would entail Rs 200 per HP per month while over five HP second pump will involve Rs 200 per HP per month.
Similarly, upto 5 HP or over it third pump will attract Rs 300 per HP per month.
The cabinet also decided on constitution of Chhattisgarh Rajya Kesh Shilpi Board with an aim to conserve and the trade of Nai community. >
