Terrorists have targeted a convoy of CRPF personnel in Kashmir’s Pulwama today.
The convoy came under attack from an explosive in which at least 12 of the paramilitary personnel have lost their lives.
It is also said that close to 40 of the CRPF personnel were injured in what is now a major terror attack.
The terror attack came about in Awantipora of Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed has claimed responsibility for the attack.
It is learnt that fifteen of the injured are said to be in a critical condition.
It is believed that an improvised explosive device was the cause of the explosion at Goripora area.
As per other sources, gunshots were reported from the scene after the blast occurred.
Army sources have said that the injured have been moved to the army base hospital in Srinagar.
The road on which the incident occurred was largely believe to be sanitised of terror activities, and the authorities have termed this as a
“serious breach” of security.
