A teacher, allegedly expelled for his sexual orientation from a reputed school, has sent a legal notice to the Council of International Schools.

It need be mentioned that the Kolkata based school is also accredited to this global body.

The teacher was expelled in February itself.

The man has been identified as Avijit Kundu, the former mathematics and physics teacher of Calcutta International School.

He claims to have been sacked on February 5, a day after his autobiography Amar Shamakami Ejahar (My Homosexual Confession) was released at the Kolkata International Book Fair.

However, the school authorities denied Kundu’s allegations.
