Man strangles woman for objecting to his smoking

She was travelling with her family in the general bogey of Punjab-Bihar Jallianwala Express

In a gruesome incident, a pregnant woman was allegedly strangled to death on a train.

The woman was subjected to the crime as she objected to a co-passenger smoking.

The Railway officials too confirmed of this crime.

The woman has been identified as Chinat Devi, 45.

She was travelling with her family in the general bogey of Punjab-Bihar Jallianwala Express.

Police said that it was when she objected to a co-passenger that a heated arguement broke out.

The accused has been identified as Sonu Yadav, said police.

Police further added that Yadav attacked the woman and strangled her after the arguement.

The deceased and her family were on their way to Bihar for taking part in Chhat puja festivities, it was informed.

The accused was arrested and the body was sent for post-mortem, police said.
