Manohar Parrikar admitted in AIIMS, could step down as Goa CM

Amid speculations that Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar is to step down, the leader himself was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Saturday.

Manohar Parrikar, who has been undergoing treatment for pancreatic ailment, is being examined by a team of doctors at the premier hospital.

This was confirmed by a source at AIIMS.

The ailing leader who is in sixties was flown to the national capital owing to his declining health.

He had returned from the US in the first week of September, days after which he was admitted to a hospital at
Candolim in north Goa.

Earlier this year, he had undergone a three-month-long treatment in the US.
