A mid air scare as a GoAir aircraft made an emergency landing after the failure of its neo engine.

The occurred after a Pune-bound GoAir flight 283 flight took off from Bengaluru airport.

It need be recalled that the failure of neo engines has earlier also been reported.

It is to be probed as to how such aircrafts could take to air and whether they had requisite clearance from the DGCA.

The airline said that the flight suffered a technical glitch after which it returned back to Bengaluru as matter
of SoP.

In its statement, GoAir said that it is committed to the highest degree of safety of passengers and its own crew members and the crew operated within the established guidelines to provide for safe travel.

It is said that the aircraft made a u-turn mid-air after the pilots got a warning of engine vibration which was followed by oil chip detection alarm in the first engine.

The first engine had to be shut down mid-air before the aircraft made an emergency landing.

Civil Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu has ordered a probe in this case.
