Jammu and Kashmir was struck by an earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale on Saturday.
There have so far not been no report of any casualty or damage due to the quake.
The state Disaster Management sources informed that the earthquake came at 8.45 pm.
It is reported to have struck some parts of the state.
However, the epicentre was traced to Hindukush mountain range in Afghanistan.>
