Milk spilled on roads as part of protest, this happened

two Ministers also acknowledged that proposal is also there to make milk available at railway stations

As part of the protest being carried out by dairy farmers in Maharashtra, the workers of Swabhimani Shetkari Sangathan took to spilling of the milk on the road in Jalna district.

The dairy farmers have been demanding that milk prices be raised and that subsidy of Rs. 5 per litre be granted.

In a similar incident, the party workers on Sunday vandalised a tanker carrying milk from Wardha to Nagpur.

The Sangathan blamed the state government and police for these incidents.

The Sangathan claimed that while the protests were set to begin at 12 am today, it emerged that the police started detaining workers from yesterday morning.

It is that kind of behaviour that forced the farmers to resort to this kind of protest.

On Tuesday, Union Finance Minister Piyush Goyal and Union Minister for Transport Nitin Gadkari had announced that the Government would give 10 per cent incentives to the exporters of milk products.

The two Ministers also acknowledged that proposal is also there to make milk available at railway stations.

Mr Goyal had also said that he would take up the issue regarding consumption of milk, with the other ministries.
