Minister Agrawal performs ‘bhoomipujan’ of development works

Rs 3 crore sanctioned for Town Hall

Urban Administration and Development Minister Mr. Amar Agrawal dedicated, laid foundation stones and performed ‘bhoomipujan’ of development works worth Rs 19 crore 74 lakh at Batapara.

This includes ‘bhoomipujan’ of works worth Rs 17 crore 45 lakh and dedicated development works worth Rs 2 crore 29 lakh.

MP Ramesh Bais and MLA Mr. Shivratan Sharma were also present at the function. Mr. Agrawal also sanctioned Rs 3 crore for the construction of a Town Hall.

The Minister Mr. Agrawal dedicated Pandit Ravishankar Shukla Commercial complex (Rs 1 crore 22 lakh), Community hall (Rs 19 lakh) four SLRM Centres construction (Rs 1 crore).

He laid foundation stones of the roads, laying of drains, construction of commercial complexes, drinking water facilty (Rs 13 crore 25 lakh), Satnami Samaj Mukti dham development (Rs 72 lakh), Christian commune Muktidham development (Rs 72 lakh) and Indoor stadium (Rs 2 crore).

Mr. Agrawal while addressing the gathering said that Union and State Governments had launched several projects for the welfare of the masses.

He said that Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi gave culture of cleanliness (Swachhta) to the nation. It has become a habit of cleanliness with the citizens.

The Minister added that Ambikapur had become a role model for Swachhta in the entire country. Nine thousand women formed a group and earning incomes from the waste disposed.

Chhattisgarh stood third in the entire country in the Swachhta survey. Mr. Ramesh Bais said that with the blessings of former Prime Minister Mr. Atal Behari Vajpayee Chhattisgarh is racing ahead on the path of progress.

MLA Mr. Sharma said that State Government had gifted over-bridge, Agriculture College, bye-pass and several other projects for the rapid developemnt of Batapara.
