The Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Ministry will be holding block level awareness programs across the nation with an aim to boost the incomes to at least double.
The block level nation-wide awareness will be organized on May 2 of this year.
Chhattisgarh is also making preparations to hold such programs in the state.
The state Agriculture Minister Brijmohan Agrawal is known to have given necessary directives to the departments.
Minister Agrawal said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government is working for the welfare of villages, under privileged and farmers.
He said that the government aims to double the farmers’ income by year 2022.
This aim is of national significance, he said.
There is thus an added stress on the integrated farming and it is in this context that the central government has directed for nation-wide block level awareness camps on May 2 in the interest of farmers.
The workshop or the awareness programs will include agriculture, animal husbandry and horticulture as well as fisheries and panchayat department officials participating.>
Minister Agrawal appealed for maximum participation of the farmers in these crucial workshops.
An elaborate information in this regard will be imparted to the farmers to help them boost their incomes.>
