Minor girl gang-raped by three boys in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh

On Wednesday, Rajnandgaon police have arrested three persons including a minor boy for kidnapping and gangrape of a 14-year-old girl in Mohla-Manpur region.

The three accused had abducted the survivor and her friend from her house late on the night of September 16 and dragged them to nearby forest from where her friend managed to escape.

Nilesh Pandey, investigation incharge inspector said that the incident took place on Monday in Bandatola village when the survivor and her friend returned around 9 pm from a birthday celebration and her friend decided to stay at survivor’s house as it was late.

Adding to this, the inspector said, “while they were sleeping, there was a knock on the door. The other members in the house were deep in sleep, the survivor opened the door and to her shock, there were three youths standing there ready to grab her.”

On spotting her friend who tip-toed out of the room listening to the hustle-bustle, the accused nabbed her as well and gagged them before dragging both the girls out of the house.

Police added that they took the girls out in dark by trying their hands and legs towards a nearby forest from where the survivor’s friend managed to rush back to safety after she struggled hard to release herself from the clutches and succeeded.

But the survivor was pounced upon by the three who took turns to rape her. Her friend informed the girl’s parents who rushed towards the spot and found her abandoned and struggling to walk back home on a deserted road. The three accused had left her in the forest after rape and fled the spot.

With her parents, the survivor lodged a complaint on Tuesday and search began to nab the accused.

As they belong to the same religion, police took no time rounding them up. As it is a case of minor rape and there’s a juvenile involved as one of the accused, police refrained divulging detailed information assuring that all the three were arrested under POSCO act and prevention of autocities against ST/SC Act.

Though police said that the exact age of juvenile was being verifird and his name would be revealed if it’s proved that he was above 18.

Two of them were identified as Murari Nishad and Rajkumar Yadav.
