Mohan Bhagwat hoisted tricolour in Kerala; despite govt order stating otherwise
Going against the state government order, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Friday unfurled the tricolour on Republic Day at a school in Kerala’s Palakkad town.
It need be mentioned that Kerala government has ordered that tricolour in this Republic Day will be hoisted only by heads of educational institutes.
The Kerala government where the CPI(M)-led LDF government is ruling had issued a circular to all state-run and aided schools two days ago in which it had been insisted that only headmasters or principals of institutions should unfurl the national flag on the Republic Day.
RSS chief Bhagwat reached the Vyas Vidya Peethom, a CBSE-affiliated higher secondary school, at 9.30am with some functionaries and unfurled the flag.
It need be mentioned that Bhagwat is in Palakkad for a three-day meeting of the RSS is reported to have addressed the gathering as well but did not mention politics.>
