More political violence alleged in Bengal; Communist and BJP offices attacked

The attacks were reported late on Tuesday evening

Political violence was alleged as the party office of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) was attacked in Kolkata while a party office of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was targeted in West Bengal Jhargram district.

The attacks were reported late on Tuesday evening.

While CPI (M) supporters said that the attack at Surya Sen Street, party office in Kolkata occurred when supporters.

Students’ Federation of India (SFI) had gathered to pay homage to a school teacher.

The allegations are on the Trinamool Congress activists.

It is said that around 30 TMC cadres barged into the office and tried to disrupt the event.

A number of vehicles were ransacked and few of party supporters sustained injuries, he said. Later a large
contingent of police arrived to bring the situation under control.

The Trinamool Congress leadership has denied any role in both incidents of violence.
