MP Govt terminates services of quality controllers of rice in Balaghat, Mandla districts

The State Government has taken a serious note of the supply of poor quality rice in some places in the districts. Action is being taken and an FIR has been registered against the concerned mill owner.

Madhya Pradesh: In Madhya Pradesh, the state government has terminated the services of quality controllers responsible for ensuring quality of rice in Balaghat and Mandla districts, while the district manager of Balaghat has been suspended.

The State Government has taken a serious note of the supply of poor quality rice in some places in the districts. Action is being taken and an FIR has been registered against the concerned mill owner.

As many as 51 joint teams of Food Corporation of India and Food & Civil Supplies Corporation, constituted to test the quality of rice Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, took 1021 samples of rice from both the districts. As a result of preliminary investigation, 57 of these samples were found to be sub-standard. As per the provision, sub-standard rice given by the miller will be returned and rice of standard quality will be obtained from him.

Chief Minister clearly warned that those involved in irregularities and black marketing of ration and fertilizer will not be spared and stern action will be taken by registering a criminal case against them.
