Raipur: In the DOPT meeting of GoI, the state-wise allocation of cadre for the IAS officers of 2019 batch was done and in this Namrata Jain of Chhattisgarh was allocated Home Cadre i:e Chhattisgarh. Varnit Negi of Bilaspur has been allocated the Kanataka cadre. It is notable that Namrata got selected in IPS through UPSC two years back and after which she again appeared and cleared IAS and that too with 12th rank. Varnit Negi has got the 13th Rank all over India. Both belong to general category.
The Chhattisgarh state through this batch got total of five IAS officers and this includes Namrata Jain of Dantewada, who got Home Cadre. In addition to this Vishwadeep of state UP cadre; Reena Jimal got Jharkhand cadre; Jitendra Yadav got Haryana cadre and neelam Lalitaditya got Telangana cadre. In the UPSC mains this year, Namrata Jain got the 12th All India rank; Vishwadeep got 360th rank; Rena got 380th; Jitendra got 403 rank and Neelam got 470th rank. Namrata and Varnit Negi are from General categeory and Reena and Jitendra are from OBC category and Neelam is from SC category.
