Navjot Singh Sidhu did walk into Pakistan’s trap. It was confirmed on Wednesday when the Pakistan government said that there has been no official communication with India on the opening of the Kartarpur Sahib corridor for Sikh pilgrims.
The confirmation was given by Pakistan Foreign Office spokesman Mohammad Faisal during a briefing in Islamabad.
Notably, Sidhu has been claiming since his trip to Pakistan last month that Islamabad has given him an assurance for opening the passage for Indian pilgrims for the Kartarpur gurdwara.
However, Union Food Processing Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal had on Tuesday said that there was no substance in Sidhu’s claims.
