In Chhattisgarh, nearly half of the villages in the state are now free from Covid-19.
The test positivity rate in the state has also come down to below five percent.
AIR correspondent reports, in Chhattisgarh, there are about twenty thousand villages.
According to the state government, because of the various measures being taken to control the Covid-19, about ten thousand of these villages have now been completely free from corona infection.
The health infrastructure has been strengthened in district hospitals as well as primary and community health centers.
Besides, Anganwadi workers and Health workers are making people aware in these areas.
Medicines kits are being provided free of cost to suspected patients in rural areas by the Health Department.
So far, this kit has been provided to more than 18 lakh suspected patients.
The number of daily Covid tests conducted in the state has also been increased.
On an average, more than seventy thousand samples are being tested every day.
