NIA carries out major raid across Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, terms it IS inspired module

In a major foiling of nefarious attempt to disrupt the harmony of India, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) detained 15 persons from New Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.

These people were nabbed for their suspected involvement with a new ISIS-inspired terror module.

As per officials, the new Islamic State module – ‘Harkat-ul-Harb-e-Islam’ – planned to carry out blasts in north India, especially in Delhi.

Police have also recovered pistols, explosives, and grenade launchers.

As per the exclusive details, the men had recced Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) office in Delhi and had planned to target Republic Day event.

The Delhi Police headquarters was also on their radar.

It is said that of the 15 persons detained, five persons were nabbed from UP’s Amroha district.

Five people were detained from Jafarabad area in north-east Delhi with the assistance of Delhi Police’s Special Cell. Seven pistols and swords were recovered from them.
