Notices have been issued to 103 candidates who contested in Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election 2018 for not having given details of election expenses in the prescribed period.
Chief Electoral Officer Shri V.L. Kanta Rao said that a total of 2,899 candidates from all 230 assembly constituencies of the state had contested election.
Candidates fighting for election are required to submit election expenditure accounts, within 30 days of the declaration, to the District Election Officer in the format prescribed by the Commission.
Out of 2,899 candidates, 2,796 candidates have been elected in the district during the accounting period. This report was sent to the Election Commission of India.
Notices were issued to 103 candidates by the District Election Officers for not filing their expense accounts.
