Now Mehul Choksi’s Gitanjali Gems moves Delhi High Court

The matter is listed for hearing today.

With the probe ongoing in the multi-crore PNB scam, the Mehul Choksi’s firm Gitanjali Gems has gone ahead and filed a petition in the Delhi High Court.

The petition is against the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with money laundering.

It need be mentioned that Choksi is the uncle and mentor of designer diamond jewellery businessman Nirav Modi.

Choksi is also the promoter of Gitanjali Gems.

The two businessmen are being investigated by the ED, CBI and other probe agencies in the PNB fraud case.

The ED had issued a provisional order for attachment under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

It may be known that the ED has already attached 41 properties which is valued at over Rs 1200 crores in connection with its money laundering probe in the PNB scam.
