NSUI protests pakodas comment of Prime Minister Modi
The National Students’ Union of India organized in Bengaluru protested to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Pakoda (fritters) employment’ comment and took to streets selling the item based on host of BJP leaders’ names.
It need be recalled that Prime Minister Modi had replied to a question of employment generation in India by saying that even a person who sells pakodas is employed as he is earning Rs 200 per day.
NSUI students activists took out a rally and began to fry, sell pakodas named after host of BJP leaders.
It need be mentioned that former Union Minister P Chidambaram had only recently said that if selling ‘pakodas’ is a job, even ‘begging’ is a job.
To this, the BJP shot back that comparing livelihood means of millions of hardworking Indians from a humble background to begging betrays Congress party’s perpetual disdain for the poor, BJP pointed out in a Twitter post.
