In Odisha, Several blocks of Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Keonjhar and jajapur districts are now submerged by flood water of river Brahmani, Baitarani and Subarnarekha river. Various distributaries of these three rivers are flowing above the danger level at different places, The flood situation in Brahmani arise after discharge of water from Rengali Dam in Anugul district.

50 village are water logged in Jajapur district due to flood in Brahmani and its distributaries.
In Kendrapada district, 40 villages have been cut off from headquarter due to flood. In Balasore district, flood water has entered into various villages of Basta, Baliapal , Soro,,Jaleswar, and Balasore blocks. The Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has ordered to provide relief to the victims within three days.
