As the media is abuzz with the soaring prices of petrol and diesel and whether it would impact the inflation pressure as well, the oil companies have announced slashing prices of non-subsidized LPG cylinders by Rs 35.50.
This should be seen as major respite as the house budgets had been going on out of spin due to soaring prices of petrol diesel and lpg gas cylinder.
The price cut is the second in less than a month after a reduction in international pricing early March had led to a similar fall.
The latest price slashing extends to commercial cylinders.
A 19-kilo commercial cylinder will now cost Rs 54 less while a small 5-kilo cylinder has also received a cut of Rs 15.
It need be mentioned that every household in the country is entitled to have 12 LPG cylinders of 14.2 kg each at subsidized rates in a year.
