After receiving a complaint, the Central Bureau of Investigation registered an FIR against branch manager of State Bank of India located in Shahpuri Branch of Chandauli in Uttar Pradesh.
This after the CBI received a complaint from a man who alleged that the branch manager had demanded a bribe of 5 per cent for a loan of Rs 10 lakh which he was taking from his salaried account.
complainant had stated that despite submitting all the relevant documents
, it was on February 12 of this year that the branch manager Ajay Kumar Gaud contacted him.
The complainant added that the branch manager demanded for five per cent of the loan amount for loan to be granted or else it will rejected.
The complainant Ram Asare however was determined that he would not pay the bribe and so he immediately informed the local police.
CBI registered an FIR against the accused SBI branch manager Ajay Kumar Gaud for demanding illegal gratification.
