OP Jindal University Gets AICTE Approval for B.Tech., M.Tech. and MBA Programmes

Raigarh : OP Jindal University, Raigarh got AICTE approval for its Engineering (B.Tech., M.Tech.) and Management (MBA) Programmes. An inspection team of AICTE visited OP Jindal University’s Punjipathra campus 14th April 2019 for granting the approval to the UG and PG programmes. The team visited the campus and seen all the laboratories and other existing facilities. On the basis of the report of the Inspection Team, AICTE has given the approval to the B.Tech. (Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Metallurgical and Materials Engineering), M.Tech. (Structural Engineering, Power Plant Engineering & Energy Management, Computer Science & Engineering, Material Science and Technology, and Power Electronics and Power Systems) and MBA programmes. The AICTE has given approval to admit the students of Foreign Nations also.

It is well known that located in Punjipathra, Raigarh, OP Jindal University was established in Chhattisgarh in 2014 (State Bill Act 13) by the prestigious Industrial Group of the country – Jindal Group; with the objective of providing world-class education and training to the students of the country and abroad. The University is committed to provide world-class courses, world-class teachers, modern teaching methods, state-of-art infrastructure and a vibrant campus to the learners; and attention is being given to make the university the most distinct and world-class University of Steel Technology and Management.

Dr R. D. Patidar, Vice-Chancellor of the University said that as the courses of the University are approved by UGC, AICTE approval is not mandatory, but it will strengthen the validity of the programmes. The students with valid GATE Score getting admission in M. Tech. Courses will get the government stipends. The University has signed an MoU with Anhui University of Technology (AHUT), China in the month of September 2018 for Study Abroad Program in Metallurgical & Materials Engineering (2 years’ study at OPJU and 2 years at AHUT, China) and this programme will also start from the session 2019-20 batch. He also informed that the admissions for the session 2019-20 has already started and interested students may visit the website of the University for Detailed Information. Dr Patidar congratulated and thanked all the faculty and staff members of the University for their untiring efforts in getting the AICTE approval.
