Over forty people feared killed in Telangana bus accident

More than 20 people are injured in the mishap

In a major mishap, more than forty people are feared to be killed as a Telangana bus fell into a gorge of Jagtial district.

It is said that as many as six children too have died in the tragic accident.

The incident is said to have taken place after a state transport bus met the accident.

The bus, which belonged to the Jagtial depot, had more than 60 passengers on board.

The bus was carrying a large number of pilgrims who were returning from Anjaneya Swamy temple atop Kondagattu Hills, about 190 km from Hyderabad.

Sources said that the bus was on its way from Shanivarampeta village to Jagtial via Kondagattu ghat road and Muthyampet villages when the incident occurred.

Telangana Caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has announced financial assistance of Rs. 5 lakh each to the families of the dead, it was informed.
