In Bihar oxygen plants will be set up in 15 districts of the state to meet the demand of medical oxygen across the state.This plants will be set up under PM Cares Fund.
Under this fund Oxygen generation plants will be set up in identified districts of the state .These districts are Patna,Begusarai,Darbhanga,Bhagalpur,Bhojpur Gaya Gopalganj,Katihar,Madhubani ,Muzaffarpur,Nalanda,West Champaran,Purnea,Saharsa and Vaishali.
Health Minister Mangal Pandey said oxygen tank with 20 kilo litre capacity will constructed in all government medical colleges of the state.One hundred 11 cylinders will be filled up with one kilo litre liquid oxygen.
Meanwhile , fresh cases of Covid-19 continue to rise rapidly. Record number of 12 thousand 795 fresh cases were reported in the state yesterday. 118 deaths were also reported. With this, casualties due to the pandemic have gone upto two thousand 155. Positivity rate has gone upto over 12 percent. Maximum positive cases of one thousand 848 reported were reported from Patna followed by one thousand 340 from Gaya.
Active cases in the state have gone up to 87 thousand 154 and they are undergoing treatment at different hospitals. Recovery rate is decreasing and it is now at 77.87 percent. Over three lakh 14 thousand patients have so far recovered from infection.
53 thousand 311 people took the vaccine yesterday. Over 66 lakh 18 thousand 29 people have so far been vaccinated in the state.
