Pakistan claims to have targeted Indian Army post; Indian side terms it baseless
In a latest provocation that may be aimed at internationalizing the Kashmir issue, the Pakistani forces have claimed that its troops destroyed an Indian Army post in Tatta Pani sector across the Line of Control (LoC).
They also claimed that the attack resulted in killing of five soldiers as well.
The statement had been confirmed by Pakistan Army Spokesman Major General Asif Ghaffo who tweeted late last night on the issue and also shared a video clip purportedly showing bombing of the Indian Army post.
However, an Indian Army official in New Delhi said the Pakistan Army’s claim is “baseless”.
Pakistan yesterday summoned India’s Deputy High Commissioner J P Singh to condemn the “unprovoked firing” by Indian troops across the LoC.
The attack allegedly resulted in the death of a driver of a van carrying school children. >
