Palm Sunday observed in Kerala; Churches remained crowded

Christians in Kerala as in other parts of the country observed the occasion of Palm Sunday, which signifies Jesus Christ’s entry into Jerusalem before he was arrested and crucified.

The Churches remained crowded on Sunday and devotees took out a march with freshly cut pal leaves in their hands.

The rallies in some cities were too big that the traffic had to be stopped even for a few minutes.

In most households, the palm leaves that are received from the church is placed before a picture of Christ.

It need be mentioned that of Kerala’s 33.4 million population, Christians account for 61.41 lakhs.
