In yet another incident that should concern the higher-ups of the para-military setup, a CRPF jawan shot himself dead after firing at two of his colleagues in Srinagar camp.
It is said that the slain jawan has been identified as Mukesh Bhawuk.
Police suspects that Bhawuk sprayed bullets at his colleagues with his service rifle.
The attack came about after he got into a verbal argument with one of them, said police.
Police informed that the argument was over some issue at the Pantha Chowk camp of 29 Battalion of CRPF.
Two jawans were injured in the firing, the official said.
Later, Bhawuk shot himself dead with his service rifle, he said.
The injured jawans are stated to be stable.
The police official said the CRPF has ordered a departmental inquiry to find the actual cause of the incident.
