Parliamentarian’s son arrested after assault on scribe’s parents

With the scribes across Chhattisgarh aggrieved at the beating of the parents of a scribe by the son of a Member of Parliament, the police has moved in to make an arrest.

The Surguja Superintendent of Police Sadanand Kumar is said to have ordered the arrest of the MP’s son who beat up the parents of a scribe merely because he was miffed at a news report.

The MP’s son has been identified as Devendra Singh.

It is said that he was out to get the scribe himself but could not locate him and thus beat the parents up.

The accused has now been booked under relevant provisions of the law.

In the meantime, Surguja scribes submitted a memorandum with the Collector to ensure proper action in the case.
