Parsi woman marrying Hindu man becomes a Hindu??; SC asks constitutional bench to decide

Supreme Court has sent in a case to constitutional bench for deliberation

Supreme Court has sent in a case to constitutional bench for deliberation over whether marrying a Hindu man automatically relieves a Parsi woman of her religion. Chief Justice Dipak Misra also said that the constitutional bench needs to also ponder over whether the decision given by a five-judge bench on triple talaq has any bearing over this case

The apex court is hearing a petition challenging the decision of Bombay High Court where in it had ruled that under the provisions of special marriage act, a Parsi woman automatically gets converted to Hindu as she marries a Hindu man.
