Passengers looted on a Dehradun bound train, this happened

In a major embarrassment for the Railway security, more than a dozen passengers in a Dehradun bound train were robbed of their belongings.

The loot is said to have taken place in Balia Kheri on Saturday.

Railway authorities have confirmed of the development.

The crime was allegedly committed by four masked men, armed with deadly weapons.

There are reports of the robbers even stabbed one of the passengers.

The incident allegedly took place when the train was passing from a jungle area, a few kilometres ahead of Saharanpur at around 2 am.

The robbers pulled the chain and stopped the train.

Soon after, they allegedly looted passengers of at least three coaches for 53 minutes while stabbing one of them before the loco-pilot alerted
the RPF and the GRP Saharanpur.

An FIR has been registered.
