CBI clears its stance on PIL on Sohrabuddin alleged fake encounter case
The Central Bureau of India has clarified that it will oppose the plea filed in the Bombay High Court against the agency’s decision not to challenge a lower court order discharging BJP president Amit Shah in the Sohrabuddin alleged fake encounter case.
It need be mentioned that the public interest litigation has been filed by Bombay Lawyers Association last week where in the agency’s decision has been termed as illegal, arbitrary and malafide.
The CBI it may be known had decided against challenging the December 30, 2014 order of a special CBI court in Mumbai discharging Amit Shah.
The PIL has urged the high court to issue a direction to the CBI to file a revision application challenging the sessions court’s order discharging Amit Shah.
It need be recalled that the Sohrabuddin alleged fake encounter case took place in an alleged fake encounter by the Gujarat and Rajasthan police.>
