Ruling out the need for projecting any Chief Minister candidate in the state election, the Chhattisgarh Congress Incharge PL Punia stressed that party needs to win the election first.
He said that party needs to work unitedly for winning over the crucial election and then a Chief Minister will be chosen on the directive of party high command.
Punia made these comments in Ambikapur while interacting with the media persons.
He also informed that party would finalize at least ninety percent candidates by August 15 and send it to AICC for approval.
This would, he said, allow the candidates to campaign time in their assigned constituency.
Punia interestingly, also mentioned that those who stabbed the party in the back to defeat it have now left the party.
He said the whole party would now work together to ensure victory in the assembly poll.
Punia also responded to questions on the BJP campaign amid the public and said that Congress would have completed its Sankalp Shivirs in 73 of the assembly segments by this evening itself.
Punia also noted that booth management and failure of the government would be conveyed to the masses to brighten the party’s prospects.
He also ruled out any alliance with any other regional party as the Congress would be fielding its candidates across the 90 assembly segments.>
