PM Modi speaking in Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas, took potshots on opposition

It was a closely watched speech of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas for all of its political meanings.

PM Modi did not name him but referred to a former Prime Minister speaking on how one rupee despatched for the poor gets converted to meager
15 paise at the doorstep of the beneficiary.

The famous remark had been of former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi back in year 1985.

PM Modi said that Congress government had done nothing to stop the leakage.

PM Modi described NRIs or Non-Resident Indians as the country’s brand ambassadors and said they were the symbols of the country”s capabilities.

The prime minister was inaugurating the 15th Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas convention in Varanasi.
